Does your university have an exchange contract with JKU? We are pleased to welcome you as an exchange student at JKU. Study Allowance Abroad: If you receive a scholarship, you must apply separately before the start of your semester or year abroad to receive your study allowance abroad. All Erasmus students must sign the Erasmus agreement with the OeAD (Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research). Education also means broadening your horizons and learning to think beyond the beaten track. And what could be more beautiful than a semester or a year abroad or cooperation with international partners? JKU and the private Catholic University of Linz have a partnership contract that allows you to take courses at KU Linz as part of their international semester (winter semester only). The following courses are offered during the winter semester 2020/2021: NO partnership agreement between JKU and your home university? Then ask for normal entry. Discover Linz and its surroundings! Tours and day trips are offered in the pre-semester programme: Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus OCTOBER / NOVEMBER: visit the relevant information events. You`ll find all the important appointments in the event calendar or in the Info folder. MARCH/APRIL: You will receive an email from the International Office regarding the acceptance of the program. You will then receive information on the necessary formalities from the host university. Note the deadlines of the host university, it is important that you submit your application on time! As part of the pre-semester program, exchange students will participate in a “Cultural Sensitivity Training” course (2 ECTS Credits). Other points can be made in the checklist below. We want to help you organize your studies abroad.

The checklists below contain information ranging from the date of your appointment to the end of your studies abroad: the group will discuss the cultural specificities of the host country and its own cultural origins/identities. Students will also focus intensively on the images, perceptions, “positive” and “negative” stereotypes associated with national cultures. Exams are recognized abroad. You have to apply in advance. This gives you the certainty, even before you go abroad, if the courses are planned. JKU offers exchange venues at more than 200 universities.
